A global aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced HR leader to join its senior management team as Director of Human Resources for the EMEA region.
This position oversees the full HR function for a regional workforce of approximately 1,200 employees across manufacturing, commercial and professional roles, with primary responsibility for operations in the United Kingdom and Poland.

 

Core Responsibilities: 

· Serve as a key member of the EMEA management teams primarily based in Poland and United Kingdom, collaborating and contributing to the development, implementation, and execution of BA’s vision and growth strategy. Effectively translate the strategic and tactical business plans into strategic and HR operational plans to support the business in achieving profitable, sustainable growth. This role will be instrumental in facilitating organisational effectiveness to support delivering profitable growth through core business execution.
· Lead all aspects of human resources and the Talent Management System (TMS) to facilitate business and organizational effectiveness across the business sites. Leverage full suite of TMS to effectively implement highly effective and efficient HR processes, tools, and programs to facilitate and support the overall employee experience (from onboarding to offboarding). To deliver processes and solutions to the workforce including succession planning, training & development, performance management, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
· Collaborate with core leadership team to create a high-performance, continuous improvement culture, with a keen focus on bolstering employee and organizational growth, development, and effectiveness.
· Partner with the site leadership teams to provide thought leadership and direction. Serve as advisor, and coach to managers and employees to engage and retain a motivated workforce across the business.
· Manage and develop a diverse team of HR professionals across five sites to ensure the highest level of performance and ensure the service and delivery of HR programmes and processes aligned with standards of excellence.
· Ensure the effective and cost-efficient management and administration of day-to-day HR activities and tasks - from recruitment, payroll processing, performance management, compensation & benefits administration, labor relations, compliance, policies, and procedures, etc.
· Provide expert oversight on employee and labor relations across UK and Poland sites ensuring compliance with UK and Polish employment law, GDPR, and internal policies, working closely with internal and external legal counsel where needed. Manage relationships with unions, works councils, and employee representatives where applicable, ensuring constructive social dialogue.
· Continuously improve HR processes and employee experience, leveraging shared services and digital tools. Drive consistent use of the HRIS and people analytics, providing leaders insight with respect to people KPIs, implementing action plans accordingly.

 

Candidate Profile:

· Minimum of ten years of global and progressive human resources experience with at least five years in management of a global human resources function. Must have experience working in a complex, globally diversified manufacturing environment. Experience in managing multi-site HR teams regionally. Prior labor/union/works council & employee relations experience needed.
· Knows how to effectively align HR goals & objectives with the company’s vision and strategy, promoting/fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration to support organisational effectiveness, high-performance and success.
· Demonstrated ability to be an effective business partner assisting the executive leadership team (ELT) with people and productivity strategies that supports the business in generating sustainable profitable growth through top quartile performance.
· Highly professional and ethical, with unquestioned integrity. A strategic thinker with emotional intelligence, business acumen, project management, and organizational astuteness.
· Forward thinking mindset with a strong “say-do-ratio” and track-record of delivering on commitments. CI orientation & problem solving capabilities.
· Must have a data driven mindset and demonstrated ability of using data to facilitate better business/talent management/HR decisions to drive impactful business and organisational outcomes.
· Comprehensive knowledge of employment and HR laws, regulations, and administration in Europe (Poland, United Kingdom, etc.). Demonstrated success in orchestrating organisational development and effectiveness through robust communications & talent management systems, driving change through employee and team empowerment in an inclusive and engaging work environment.
· 35% - 40% global travel is required (including regular travel to UK & Poland).

 

Education Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Human Resources Management or other related discipline.
· MBA or advanced degree preferred.
