A world-renowned manufacturing company is seeking an experienced HRIS and Payroll Implementation Lead to take ownership of a major transformation programme across its people and payroll systems.
The role will lead the transition away from a legacy HR platform (UKG) to a new ADP Payroll and Human Capital Management (HCM) solution. In parallel, the successful candidate will also be responsible for the selection and implementation of a new Travel and Expense Management system.
This is a highly visible, business-critical role combining systems delivery, payroll governance, HR process transformation, and long-term platform ownership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • HRIS and ADP Implementation
  • Lead the full end-to-end migration from UKG to ADP across Payroll and HCM
  • Act as internal systems owner and subject matter expert
  • Lead requirements gathering across Core HR, Payroll, Time and Attendance, Absence and Leave, Employee Self-Service, and Reporting and Workforce Analytics
  • Oversee system configuration, testing, data migration, parallel runs, and go-live
  • Ensure full payroll, tax, and employment compliance for Germany and any additional jurisdictions as required
  • Act as the primary contact for ADP and external implementation partners

 

Travel and Expense System Implementation:

  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of a new Travel and Expense platform
  • Redesign expense workflows and approval structures
  • Ensure integration with Finance, Payroll, and HR systems
  • Improve compliance, visibility, and cost control

 

Process Improvement and Change Management:

  • Redesign HR and payroll processes aligned to best practice
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across HR, Finance, IT, and Operations
  • Deliver structured training and user adoption programmes
  • Develop standard operating procedures, governance, and internal controls
  • Ongoing System Ownership
  • Own platform performance post-implementation
  • Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and vendor relationships
  • Drive continuous improvement in workforce data and reporting capability

 

Key Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven delivery of HRIS and Payroll system implementations
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Payroll and HCM platforms
  • Experience migrating away from legacy platforms (ideally UKG)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, HR operational processes, and workforce data structures
  • End-to-end project management capability
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
  • Experience introducing or managing Travel and Expense systems
  • Good working knowledge of German payroll legislation and labour law

 

Desirable:

  • Manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sector background
  • Multi-site workforce experience
  • Exposure to international payroll environments
