Sales Manager

Location: Hybrid Stoke-on-Trent

Client Overview:

An advanced materials manufacturer, the company is one of the world’s leading producers of tin-oxide-based materials, offering a wide portfolio of products including infrared-absorbing pigments and specialty additives used across ceramics, glass, electronics, coatings, polymers and high-tech applications.

Responsibilities:

• Sales of the full product range.
• P&L responsibility.
• Supervision of back office / purchasing staff member.
• Coordinating cross functionally with different departments.
• Close collaboration with Business Development.
• Consider Improvement that will help profitability of the business further.
• Expand regional markets internationally.
• Travel will be 30-40% and will include extended stays when doing international visits in Asia/US.
• Represent the company at trade shows, in industry and research organisations.
• Help modernise the sales organisation and back-office procedures.
• Identification of market opportunities to develop.
• Observes any change of the regulatory framework for the products.

Person Spec:

• Experienced in a technical sales position
• Preferably a chemistry related educational background.
• Good communication skills in English and preferably another European language (German, French or Spanish)
• Good technical verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Well organized.
• Willingness to work independently in a small team.
• Good working experience with MS Office products and ideally with MS Dynamics
