Client Overview:

For more than 50 years, our client has been leading in coated, laminated, and metallized fabrics and materials such as films and nonwovens. As part of a succession plan due to retirement, they are seeking a Project Leader for their site in Freiburg.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of product developments and product optimizations on a laboratory scale
• Coating, laminating, and metallizing web-like substrates on a laboratory scale
• Project management within the framework of development projects
• Formulation of new coating and adhesive systems as well as creation of corresponding production recipes
• Preparation, execution, and evaluation of machine trials to transfer product development from the laboratory to production scale
• Support in the search for alternative raw materials for existing products and testing them on a laboratory scale
• Development and preparation of measurement instructions
• Participation in the procurement of new testing and analysis equipment
• Proper archiving and documentation of hazardous substances and coating materials
• Ordering of laboratory materials
• Visits to suppliers, customers, and trade fairs in the context of product development and optimization

Candidate Profile:

• Experience in laboratory setting.
• Ideally professional experience in the coatings industry or surface finishing
• Excellent color vision
• Enthusiasm for project work and the development of new products
• Hands-on mentality combined with a structured working style and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong team spirit and communication skills
• German skills, spoken and written
• Good English skills, spoken and written
