Location: Remote / Flexible within the United States
Employment Basis: Full-time, permanent contract but effectively self-employed.
Salary: 120,000 to 140,000 USD

They specialize in the production and distribution of furan-based chemicals such as furfural, furfuryl alcohol, methylfuran, methyltetrahydrofuran, and tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol, serving industries including foundry resins, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, fuels, and specialty chemicals. As a pioneer in the renewable chemical space, we turn agricultural (crop) waste into biobased chemicals and polymers for the production of sustainable end-use materials (with a high bio-content and a low carbon footprint).]

They are expanding our footprint in the Americas and are looking for a commercially driven and entrepreneurial Sales Manager – Americas to join the team and lead regional growth within new markets for THFA.
Sales Manager – Americas:
· You will be responsible for co-defining and executing the commercial strategy across the Americas, managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and representing the company in a dynamic and growing market.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the complete sales process: customer acquisition, proposal generation, risk assessment, contract negotiation, and after-sales support
· Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with global objectives
· Develop and generate Route to Market plans
· Manage and expand existing customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term loyalty
· Manage supply chain, specifically in the import and export of chemical products into the US market.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships
· Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform pricing, positioning, and overall strategy
· Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, QHSE, R&D, and management teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer support
· Contribute to the maintenance of design guidelines, technical documentation, and customer reference lists
· Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends
· Representing IFC at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings across the region
What We’re Looking For:
· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
· Additional certifications or training in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration are a plus
· Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience within the chemical industry
· Strong expertise in bio-based chemicals, solvents, or specialty chemicals—particularly in Pharmaceutical, life sciences, performance polymers, or advanced material sectors.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and responsibility.
· Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
· Demonstrated success in building sales pipelines and closing deals in competitive markets.
· Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
· A professional understanding of international logistics, regulatory compliance, and resulting market dynamics within the chemical industry
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
· Willingness to travel across the region (up to 10-20%)
· Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
