A leading manufacturer of plastic packaging for the food industry is seeking to recruit an experienced HSEQ Manager. The production site combines innovation with strict quality and safety standards. To strengthen the team, we are looking for a person to lead and small team and to focus on translating Group safety procedures & directives, into site needs.

Your role
As HSEQ Manager, you are primarily responsible for planning, coordinating and improving the safety policy, complemented by the quality and environmental management of the site.
You lead a motivated team, are responsible for risk management, audits and prevention, and are the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders (incl. governments and customers).
You are a member of the plant management team and act as a pivotal figure between the operational teams, customer and auditors.

Your Responsibilities:

• Health and Safety
• Preparation and follow-up of risk analyses
• Management of the prevention plan, accident analyses and safety measures
• Coordination of safety training and emergency procedures.
• Responsible for legally required documents and records (Annual Report, Annual Action Plan, GPP, EDTC inspections, …)
• Secretary CPBW

Leadership and Strategy:

• Member of the Plant Leadership Team
• Preparation and monitoring of the QHSE budget
• Develop and implement a long-term quality and safety strategy
• Central contact for government agencies and external audits (food, environmental, safety)
  Crisis coordinator in the field of QHSE.
• Supporting the Business Continuity Plan (BCP).

Team Management:

• Managing and coaching the QHSE team (consisting of 3 direct reports)
• Training and development plans for team members
• Follow up on goals and team planning
• Close collaboration with regional QHSE teams and corporate projects

Quality and Food Safety:

• Responsible for quality and food safety policies (incl. HACCP and Food Defense)
• Management of the quality management system (including FSSC 22000)
• Coordination of internal and client audits
• Management of quality deviations and customer complaints
• Coordination of qualification, calibration and inspection of quality equipment

Environment:

• Responsible for environmental legislation and waste management

Customer focus:

• First point of contact for customer on quality and food safety questions
• Coordinate complaint follow-up and communication with customer
• Representation of the company during audits

Your profile:

• Ideally degree level qualification, with focus on Safety (or equivalent through experience)
  Prevention consultant Level 2 (or willing to obtain it)
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (food or packaging sector is a plus)
• Knowledge of quality and food safety standards (FSSC/ISO 22000, HACCP)
• Experience with security systems, risk management and audit processes
• Experience with systems such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Minitab/SPC
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English (speaking/writing)
