Based in Birmingham, West Midlands

 

Overview: 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • To identify & implement best practice into the production process to maximise process efficiency, capability, capacity and quality.
  • To optimise tooling configuration and machine loading to maximise throughput and minimise product cost.
  • To advise on and oversee New Product Introduction into production.
  • To advise and take the lead on the acquisition of new plant and machinery.
  • To project manage NPI and the installation of new plant.
  • To research, advise on and lead minimising the company’s carbon footprint in production processes.
  • To establish and lead the implementation of QC processes for inbound materials and outbound goods.
  • To investigate quality complaints and perform root cause analysis.

Experience:

  • Degree in chemical, industrial, biochemical, mechanical engineering or a related field. Ideally CEng.
  • Six Sigma or completed training in techniques and tools of process improvement.
  • Experienced in Rotational Moulding and / or Blow Moulding.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of CAD.
