The Company:

Specializing in the development and production of large-scale plastic injection moulded products and operating from facilities in Gelderland region, the company serves various industries, including agriculture, infrastructure, electronics, medical, and renewable energy sectors.​
The company offers expertise in high-pressure injection moulding, structural foam moulding, and sequential injection moulding techniques.
The company emphasizes early involvement in product development, providing services from initial design to final production and assembly. Their capabilities include producing components ranging from 1 kg to 28 kg, utilizing materials such as HDPE, PS, PA, and PC/ASA.​

 

Overview:

· As an Injection Moulding engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring the successful production of injection-moulded products. By combining your expertise and creativity in injection moulding and your analytical skills, you contribute to creating high-quality products that meet all technical specifications and requirements.
· The Injection Moulding engineer is part of a multi-disciplinary, technical, research and development team. There is a lot of freedom in the job with contacts in a lot of countries and markets.
· You play a crucial role in the project management of new and existing projects. You keep track of the whole project including mould making, model analysis, tolerance analysis, mould flows etc. till the project is hand over to the production department.
· You are responsible for identifying potential issues, providing technical solutions, and ensuring proper production quality. You work closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, design engineers, project managers, sales department and production staff to ensure products can be produced efficiently and successfully.

 

Responsibilities:

· Project management for new and existing projects.
· Ability to communicate with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
· Assessing conceptual designs and new product ideas for their suitability for injection moulding, considering technical feasibility, production costs, and desired quality.
· Identifying potential issues that may occur during the injection moulding process, such as dimensional tolerances, material selection, ejection systems, cycle times, and possible defects.
· Reading feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of injection moulding processes.
· Read tolerance analysis as part of the feasibility study.
· Developing technical solutions and optimization proposals to resolve and prevent potential issues, aiming to improve process quality and reduce production costs.
· Collaborating with product development teams of the customers to guide the design process and advise on design requirements and possibilities for injection moulding production.
· Preparing technical reports and documentation to document and transfer the approach, analysis, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
· Evaluating and documenting final results.
· Contributing to continuous improvement of processes, materials, and technologies to enhance the quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of injection moulding also in a technical creative way.
· Keeping up with market developments, new technologies, and best practices for injection moulding, and sharing this knowledge with the team and organization.
· Coordinate and attend internal/external mould testing trials for customer sampling.

 

Qualifications:

· A completed technical education at the bachelor’s or master’s level, preferably in chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
· Proven experience in injection moulding, preferably in an engineering role within the plastics industry.
· Solid knowledge of injection moulding processes, tool design, material properties, and process optimization.
· Proficiency in technical analysis and problem-solving, with the ability to understand complex issues and provide practical solutions.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Analytical thinking and attention to detail, with a structured and methodical approach.
· Knowledge of technical CAD software and simulation tools is a necessity.
· Knowledge of scanning and measuring software is a plus.
· Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. German is a plus.
