Client Overview:

Listgrove is proud to be working with one of Europe’s leading synthetic foam manufacturers used in a wide range of industries including packaging, sport & leisure, construction, and insulation. A family-owned international group, sustainability is a core business principle, and this forms an integral part of their operations strategy.

Role Overview:

You will coordinate and drive all operational activities for the Polish factory, involving manufacturing, HSE, technology, product compliance & development, maintenance, continuous improvement, people development, supply chain and purchasing. You will develop an operational excellence vision, gaining buy-in from the workforce and implementing the strategy to ensure the continued competitiveness of the site, which employs around 300 people.

Responsibilities:

· Fully responsible for leading all operational aspects of the factory, which includes setting the vision of the future, developing the strategy and working across all functions to ensure alignment to the objectives
· Accountable for setting and achieving the annual budget in terms of spend, efficiency improvements, cost control and plant investment
· Leadership and mentoring of direct reports across the key functions, setting the culture of the site, developing teams and ensuring a proactive/positive management style is executed across all levels
· Implement, monitor and optimize with the Plant Manager occupational protection processes within the company with the aim of continuously improving the HSE culture.
· Define the yearly priorities for the annual LEAN strategy in collaboration with the Plant Manager.
· In support with the Group Vice President of Research & Innovation, define and support the research and innovation strategy for the site.
· Define the yearly priorities for the annual purchasing and supply chain strategy in collaboration with the functional heads

Candidate Profile:

· Engineering degree and more than 10 years of established work experience as leader in an industrial environment
· Experience in polymers, plastics, extrusion or rubber is an advantage
· Result driven, methodological and hands-on approach
· Technical understanding of industrial processes
· Strong leadership skills, team spirit and decision making power
· High level of initiative; motivation and assertiveness
· Experienced in LEAN management
· Strategic thinking with strong financial acumen, managing the P&L
· Analytical skills, understand complex issues and present them simply
· Fluent in Polish and English (spoken & written)
