Engineering Supervisor

Location: Ireland
The company design, develop and manufacture assemblies and plastic components for the automotive and medical device sectors.
Scope of the position:
Coordinate all engineering activity, working with various groups to deliver reliable and repeatable processes and sustainable improvements in OEE.
Key Responsibility:
- Provide engineering and technical leadership on product and process issues
- Supervise and lead engineering group, prioritising and scheduling work for the team
- Promote the use of analytical problems solving techniques amongst the engineering group to ensure that decisions are data driven
- Drive change and continuous improvement among the engineering group inputting to OEE reviews
- Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed as per schedule
- Identify equipment/machines with a high maintenance cost and/or poor reliability. Perform root cause failure analysis to develop and implement effective improvements.
Candidate Profile:
- Equivalent degree education
- Sustained career in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of plastic processing (injection, blow or extrusion moulding)
- Evidential experience of continuous improvement projects and OEE improvements.
- Scheduling and planning expertise
- Strong people manager
