The client:

For over 50 years our client has manufactured and supplied coated fabrics to a range of industries, using their market and design expertise they are able to provide unique manufacturing capabilities to their customers all over the world.

The role:

The role holder will develop, implement and co-ordinate a new Quality System across 3 European sites (Spain, Germany, and UK); creating a strategic quality focus in driving continuous improvements and leading the ownership of Quality.

Responsible for:

· Act as primary resource in the research and response to customer complaints, rejections and requests for corrective action to enhance positive customer and supplier relationships in a cooperative environment, including continuous follow up and interface with customers and/or supplier on all quality issues.
· Actively participate in meetings and follow-ups with the group factories.
· Responsible for the development of, maintenance and compliance with Quality Management Systems and a Complaints Management Protocol.
· To undertake face-to-face liaison with customers and suppliers (ex. Laboratories), on a proactive and reactive basis.
· Testing products (internal and external) to ensure that they meet quality standards before launch.
· Support new product development and technical accompaniment during visits and customer meetings for material specific applications.
· Ensuring compliance to ISO 16000, ISO 18184, ISO 21702, ECOVADIS and re-qualification of national and international standards and legislation.
· Proactively support the R&D department on new and improved packaging options, and material supply (packaging, transformation)
· Support the sourcing of raw material, including materials for transformed products and other items.
· Competitor product monitoring, analysis and/or testing.
· Laboratory analysis and compatibility of cleaners and disinfectants.
· Responsible for managing and developing training for Customer Service and Commercial Team on all aspects of quality.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or engineering required or comparable technical education/experience.
· More than 10 years’ experience in a Quality function in the textile industry.
· Experience of working independently and in a matrix management environment with cross-functional teams.

Candidate Profile:

· Fluent in English and Spanish. An additional language is an advantage.
· Willingness to travel across Europe
