Client Overview:

Our client is a family-owned business and has been providing technologies and components to the plastics extrusion industry for over 100 years, employing over 1500 people worldwide.
They supply tailor-made lines and components for the production of high-quality blown film, cast film, sheet film, and nonwovens.

Role Overview:

We are currently searching for a Specialist Designer in winding systems for the film industry. This role will partly be remote with site-based work being conducted out of Troisdorf Germany.

You will be responsible for the design of components, systems and complex assemblies going into film winding equipment.

Responsibilities: 

· Your task is to optimize current machine concepts and support the development of new components and machines.
· Understand and problem-solve technical issues and the costs implied by them.
· Prepare technical documents such as parts lists, drawings, and order specifications.
· Assist in reclamation and service requests regarding film winders.
· Support internal departments regarding technical questions.
· Work cross functionally to provide insights and support for the design of winding equipment.

Candidate Profile:

· Degree educated in engineering principles.
· Proven experience around material winders- film, metal, fabric
· Experience in 3d and 2d design work software.
· Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented personality
· Communicating professionally in German and English (written and verbal)
