Client Overview:

Our client is a global distributor with thousands of employees throughout the world and with sites in 72 countries. They have 2 main divisions that provide a portfolio of industrial and specialist chemicals and ingredients. They are champions of sustainability pursuing specific goals and solutions in the industries served. They are currently looking to secure a proactive salesperson who will cover the polymer market in Denmark.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the North European Business Manager you will be responsible for the development and retention of customers. Assessing opportunities to grow market share while ensuring existing accounts are kept. You will be focused on polymers and their associated materials, setting strategies for growth and pricing where appropriate.

Responsibilities:

· Meet sales objectives and focus on customer retention as well as improving overall customer satisfaction
· Identify customer potentials, i.e., opportunities for cross- and range-selling to existing and new customers and engage with relevant stakeholders.
· Set strategies and targets for growth in consultation with the Business Manager
· Conduct customer visits, prepare the meetings using all available tools and reports, coordinate, negotiate and close proposals.
· Arrange joint visits with suppliers to existing & potential new customers as necessary & in consultation with the business manager to grow existing & develop new business.
· Manage spot business/ rush offers, get support from Business Manager, Internal Account Manager & Product Manager when necessary
· Liaise with relevant stakeholders to create in a timely manner the best offer for the customer and extract maximum value (e.g., - - Sales Management/ Product Management for Pricing topics)
· Act as major point of contact to customers in commercial matters
· Conduct market studies on potential new product opportunities by contacting customers to gather interest and test market demand
· Offer technical support to customers where necessary
· Develop, monitor, follow-up and convert pipeline opportunities for all relevant supplier products & customers using available tools (e.g. SAP CRM / SalesForce)
· Participate in internal & external training sessions as necessary, with occasional overseas travel to visit suppliers and Brenntag offices.
· Attend trade events & exhibitions as necessary and as directed by the Business Manager

Candidate Profile:

· Proven sales experience into the plastics industry - polymers, masterbatch, compounds, specialty additives, fillers.
· Experience in the sales of plastic materials to injection moulders and extrusion businesses.
· Fluency in Danish & English is essential.
· Skilled in the use of computers and relevant software.
· Strong commercial mind.
· Customer-centric mindset.
· Strategic ability
· Autonomous mindset
