The Client:

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of complete packaging systems, from standard bottles, jars and closures to custom packaging solutions and specialized parts.

As part of their European growth strategy, they are expanding their sales team with this new appointment. The role will ensure consistent growth in sales by identifying opportunities, developing sales strategies and action plans.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks:

· Presenting, promoting, and selling products to existing and potential customers
· Attracting new customers by planning and organising a daily work schedule
· Reaching and approaching potential customers through phone calls and emails
· Visiting existing and possible customers to assess their needs, promote and sell products and services
· Conducting cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers
· Resolving customer complaints by researching problems, developing solutions, and preparing reports and recommendations for management, to maximise customer satisfaction
· Achieving agreed sales goals and results within the set deadline
· Coordinating sales efforts with team members and other departments
· Reporting to the management with information on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
· Recommending changes to products, services, and policies, based on evaluation of results and competitive performance
· Monitoring the competition by gathering current market information on prices, products, new products, and trading techniques
· Assisting in pricing for offers, promotions, and negotiations
· Informing the management by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual market analyses
· Preparing sales presentations for a number of potential customers
· Acquiring deposits and balances of customer payments
· Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders
· Promptly responding to customer questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability
· Performing work in accordance with regulations on health and safety at work, fire protection and environmental protection, and internal acts, regulations, and ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and IFS (product safety) standards

Key Skills:

· The ideal candidate will need to have experience in either PET Packaging (Bottles, Containers, Jars and Caps) or Plastic Packaging
· Flexible and collaborative
· A hunter personality, independent and highly motivated
· Good communication skills both written and orally
· Excellent at prospecting (cold calling and e-mailing) 
· Computer literate, with knowledge of current operating systems and software
