Client Overview:

Listgrove has been retained by a global manufacturer of flexible packing who is a pioneer in sustainable, flexible packaging innovation and development.

Role Overview:

· To identify and manage new target markets and customers across Asia-Pacific to achieve maximum profitable sales potential for the business in line with pre-determined budgets.
· Identify new potential customers within new and existing market sectors.
· Drive profitable growth within the accounts you on board, whilst defending current margins.
· Effectively maintain internal and external network and communications at all times.

Responsibilities:

· Carry out the appropriate market research to identify potential customers.
· Develop a plan to target those customers, ‘open the door’ and present the Company in a professional manner.
· Understand customers’ requirements for existing and future new packaging solutions and, in conjunction with NPD, provide and commercialise appropriate packaging solutions.
· Effectively and efficiently manage your accounts to ensure the maintenance of good working relationship and customer service are provided.
· Identify and convert new opportunities within those accounts for additional business.
· Understand customers’ requirements for new packaging solutions and, in conjunction with NPD, provide and commercialise appropriate packaging solutions
· Develop strong working relationships with customers.
· Understand customers’ strategy for packaging requirements.
· Manage customer expectations whilst consistently achieving deadlines.
· Communicate with customers at all times on relevant changes, new developments etc.,
· Liaise with internal account execs to remain aware of account activities and respond accordingly.
· Ensure all customer trials are managed effectively through the business.
· Work with UK to fix customer quotations.
· Ensure internal processes are followed at all times, particularly in relation to quotations and customer trials.
· Effectively communicate with other departments within the business and develop strong working relationships.
· Communicate customers’ requirements effectively throughout the business.
· Keep yourself abreast of NPD activities and developments at all times.
· Report monthly to your Manager on previous month’s sales activity and accurate future forecasts and any appropriate business threats / opportunities.
· Attend monthly sales meetings.
· Ensure accurate and timely availability of sales activity.
· Prepare annual and monthly budgets / forecasts in line with company requirements.
· Attend exhibitions or promotions where required.

Candidate Skills and Attributes:

· Proven experience of new business development with a “hunter” mentality
· Experience of Print / Packaging industry essential.
· Good standards of education – degree level preferable.
· Print or packaging technical experience ideal.
· Highly motivated, driven self-starter.
· Exceptional communication skills, written, verbal and formal presentation skills.
· Excellent negotiation skills.
· Flexible and eager approach.
· Highly organised – deliver to deadlines.
· Able to influence with the ability to drive ideas forward.
· Sound commercial skills with the ability to understand detailed costing’s, estimates etc.
· IT literate with the ability to produce detailed spread sheets, word and PowerPoint documents.
· Flexible to travel as the demands of the role require.
· Fluent English Essential
