The Corrugated Portfolio Optimization Manager reports to the Senior Category Manager Corrugated Packaging and will ideally be based in Slough UK, Düsseldorf/Köln, DE or Doetinchem, NL.

This is a key position within our Intersnack Procurement team, with high visibility and close collaboration with the senior level of the Intersnack Group. The jobholder will support the Senior Category Manager Corrugated in execution of the overall Corrugated Harmonisation, Standardisation, Optimisation and Sustainability strategy to ensure delivery of productivity initiative targets over multi-year horizon. As part of this portfolio, he/she will lead and promote the direction across Intersnack Group globally. He/she is permanently in contact with our suppliers, various internal stakeholders and other sources of market intelligence to offer compliance / pledge propositions within the Operating Companies of the Intersnack Group. The job also includes the regional lead for sustainable
corrugated packaging across all business units and leading the corrugated packaging procurement related activities in our sustainable packaging core team.
Your responsibilities:
• Support the Senior Category Manager Corrugated in development and execution of the sourcing strategy by setting up a paper packaging category playbook in order to ensure delivery of productivity initiative targets over multi-year horizon
• Lead the Intersnack Group Corrugated Packaging Harmonisation, Optimisation and Standardisation programme as a link-pin between Intersnack key stakeholders and Corrugated suppliers, ensuring alignment across all Intersnack Management Units and Intersnack Group.
• Lead the Sustainability Program for packaging across business units in line with the Intersnack’s pledge / sustainability targets and drivers within the packaging arena.
• Have direct leadership and promote the drive to implementing change within the organisation.
• Able to support the Corrugated and Paper market intelligence and pre-empt possible outcomes on a monthly basis.
• Industry expert in sustainability agenda / commitments / pledges across customer base in order to gain alignment within Intersnack business.
What might qualify you for this role?
• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in business management, packaging or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in Packaging (e.g. Procurement, Research & Development, Supply Chain)
• Project Management and business acumen
• Capable team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, strategic, conceptual skills
• Open to travel up to 20% (mainly Europe)
