We are looking to recruit an Area Sales / Business Development Manager for our German team at the Berlin site. They will be responsible for finding opportunities in the e-mobility, energy, high-tech industrial sector, and renewable energy sources (such as the Lithium-Ion battery segment (LiB)) within the Berlin region as well as Saxony/Thuringia. The primary focus is on our packaging products and various packaging services.
Your Duties:
As the Area Sales / Business Development Manager, you are responsible for the development of your region and existing major customers to increase turnover and profitability. This means implementation of the entire sales cycle, which ranges from identification of new customers to closing and follow-up.
Your primary responsibility is to determine potential customers in your region and to create a solid foundation for sustainable sales growth. The key to this is offering the whole Nefab range (from packaging to optimisation of the supply chain as well as our “Connected Packaging” solutions).
You will be part of the German sales team on-site, taking part in important initiatives and development projects for the domestic market, whilst also working closely together with other company contacts and local business units within Europe. The position involves travel, most of it domestic.
Your Profile:
Ideally, you would have the following:
At least a bachelor’s degree (business studies, engineering or similar) or equivalent education/qualifications
Experience with B2B full-cycle-sales within the industrial packaging sector, preferably in a multinational environment
Proven ability to sell solutions, identify complex customer issues and resolve them
Sales-drive, you are driven by developing a customer partnership and finding new opportunities with them, all the while offering value added services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to carry out effective and convincing sales discussions and presentations to individuals and large groups on different levels
The ability to work effectively in a team to meet customer and delivery deadlines - you provide support and share information so that the team can successfully carry out its work
You work on your own initiative, make things possible and set the agenda to achieve good results and meet expectations
Technical knowledge and the ability to convey and illustrate aspects such that they are clear to all participants in a project
Fluency in spoken and written English and German
