The Company 
Macfarlane Group PLC is the UK’s largest packaging distributor, and we are seeking to recruit a Sales Co-ordinator (Dutch and French & English speaking) to provide support to our growing European operation. The Northern European Sales Coordinator Role 
Within this key support role, you will be working strategically with the management team to support development of both existing customers and prospect accounts.
This will therefore require a high degree of ongoing customer contact and administrative work including expediting, data entry (including CRM input), preparation of commercial documents and general coordination of project related tasks.

European Sales Coordinator Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting and coordinating commercial activities for Macfarlane European Development Team and assist with follow-up of key projects, sales lead management, updating of CRM database
  • Working in a constructive manner and to promote co-operation, communication, and teamwork with other Macfarlane Group departments & distribution centres to maximize European sales and profit growth
  • Assisting with research for growth opportunities and market trends across territory
  • Handling telephone conversations and processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Publishing of Monthly Reports in line with expectation.
  • Preparation of Sales Support Documentation – Presentations, Customer Profiles, RFQ’s & Project Plans in a timely manner
  • Preparation of meetings and presentations
  • Transmitting correspondence, documents, data, graphics & archiving
  • Organising and co-ordinating company activities
  • Processing of purchase and sales orders & invoices

Do you have the correct profile? 
This will be a home-based role, but to execute it successfully is important that you are willing and able to travel to one of our offices in either The Netherlands or the UK frequently. You will be fluent in Dutch and will have a very good command of both English and French, (knowledge of other European languages such as German or Italian could be advantageous but are not essential).
 
A strong competency in using Excel spreadsheets is also important to this role. You will likely be of graduate level and be very well organised, adaptable, work well under pressure, and be a good communicator at all levels within our organisation and with key stakeholders in global organisations. It is also important that you are patient and resilient. Some demonstrable previous experience gained within a similar role that has involved lots of customer contact, plenty of hands-on administration and a need to expedite & coordinate project work would be preferable. Please note that no prior experience of packaging is required as full training will be provided.
