For our team in Linnich, we are searching for an IT Operation Senior Specialist to ensure the overarching IT-Service delivery quality standards and process performance across all technology teams of the IT Infrastructure & Operations function as well prepare the strategic IT-Infrastructure roadmap. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project tracking, management, and reporting of global IT Infrastructure projects.
  • Execute demand management process for preparation for project pipeline in cooperation with IT-Infrastructure and IT – Security Architect.
  • Coordinate and hustle problem management for complex cases.
  • Monitor and control compliance with IT - infrastructure standards in operations.
  • Manage, analyze, and provide improvement recommendations for the IT service management processes.
  • Regular review of the infrastructure and operations business model to identify requirements for change in terms of capacity, performance, and costs, and to prepare proposals for IT - Management decisions.
  • Review and control IT-infrastructure-related changes and present to Change Advisory board Meetings if necessary for high-risk changes.
  • Participation in the risk management process for monitoring and managing the IT – Infrastructure-related queue, so that all issues are addressed, evaluated, and treated according to their risk level.
  • Administration and cost management of global contracts and suppliers.
  • Screen and evaluate infrastructure technology trends and markets to prepare proposals for an innovative and future-oriented infrastructure roadmap on the strategic level.
You Bring These Skills, Experience & Education:
  • Educated as IT specialist in systems engineering or completed studies in IT or adequate experience in a similar position.
  • Business English (IT), fluent in spoken and written, capable of preparing for and participating in specialist meetings and discussions.
  • Very good knowledge of Windows and Unix Server Administration, ITIL Service Management, IP Network foundations, and IT-Security principles.
  • Nice to Have: Microsoft 365 Ecosystem knowledge.
  • Experience of 3-5 years in Information Technology.
  • Experience of 3-5 years in a similar position is a big plus.
