Engineering Manager
Location: Warrington UK
A specialty chemical and high-performance materials manufacturer that is committed to improving the world through innovation. The business develops and creates new products that solve emerging challenges, created by business climate and customer need.
The Engineering Manager leads and manages all project engineering activities and team members, ensuring project requirements, functionality, performance, reliability, and serviceability. They will also manage the capital budget and assets for the site.
Responsibilities:
- Leads a department accountable for managing all project and process engineers on site.
- Provides oversight of capital projects and ensures project cost/budget, performance and timing commitments are met.
- Leads implementation of engineering standard practices, as defined by the corporation and standard chemical engineering practices.
- Provides technical support to the Operations Team, through problem solving and Continuous Improvement methods.
- Manages team members individual and team goals, performance expectations, obstacles, problems, issues, and successes and provides development as needed.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Strong experience within chemical manufacturing.
- 3+ years supervisory experience over exempt professional employees preferred.
- Strategic planning capability.
- Be an active and engaged safety leader to build and maintain a strong safety culture to achieve zero personal and process safety incidents.
