Senior Accountant

Headquartered in the US, our client has 9 global locations, including 5 fully integrated manufacturing facilities, in the United States and an engineering plastic compounding facility in Europe.

Our client is looking for a senior accountant who, together with the associate specialist, is responsible for all finance-related matters for the site and its legal entities. The senior accountant will be an instrumental part of the team, a business partner to the site leadership team and part of the EMEAI finance team, responsible for monthly accounting close, keeping accurate financial books in compliance with local and US GAAP requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Day to day accounting, you will be the SPOC for the accounting processes.
• Managing journal entries and ensure proper ledger coding in support of monthly closing.
• Developing bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations and other month-end general ledger reconciliations.
• Performing VAT monthly report, complete the requested entries and follow-up.
• Handling accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness to include auditing master records and transactional data.
• Responsible for the payroll accounting.
• Coordinating and resolving various issues with banks, receivables and payables.
• Monitoring daily cash needs and performing cash forecasts.
• Back up on month-end duties to the Associate Specialist Finance – bank transactions, accounts payable, month end accruals and travel expenses.
• Fixed assets / Capex management.

Candidate Profile: 

• Accounting or Finance Degree.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in excel.
• Good working knowledge of SAP: FI/CO module, P2P and O2C processes.
• US GAAP experience and/or international reporting environment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
