Our client is a manufacturer of primary packaging, supplying into the food industry and based in Portugal.
The business is looking to recruit a charismatic and experienced Sales Director, who will lead an established team and drive business into new and existing accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the General Manager, in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
- Lead an existing team, to develop new accounts and drive business into existing customers.
- Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train the existing and future sales personnel.
Candidate Profile:
- A proven background in a similar role in the packaging sector: rigid packaging preferred, but bottles and cartons will also be considered.
- Experience of selling to customers in the food packaging arena is essential.
- Technical competence in the field of packaging would be desirable, ideally gained within the plastics or glass sector.
- Fluent English and Portuguese.
