The Business Development Manager Inks & Coatings, is responsible for managing the strategic growth initiative portfolio, as well as directing all relevant day-2-day sales activities within the scope of the agreed area of focus. You maintain contacts with existing customers in Europe and globally and expand your customer base, by selling water-based printing ink systems that are custom developed for leading manufacturers of vinyl wall coverings and floor coverings, as well as UV coatings.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, develop and implement market penetration based on the definition outlined by Regional/Global Strategies.
  • Focus on generating project pipeline in cooperation with regional team and technical resources, identifying new business opportunities with the help of constant market observation.
  • Perform Market and Competitive analysis that identifies size and share of wallet.
  • Managing customers’ technical and commercial needs while ensuring the highest levels of service are maintained, developing accounts to their optimum revenue potential.
  • Quick and efficient submission and tracking of offers.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Inks & Coatings, experience in Sales is essential.
  • A university degree in Chemistry or Material Science or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Fluent in German and English. Other languages are a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of success within sales and have a clear understanding of the sales cycle from scouting to cash.
  • Willingness to extensively travel in Regionally in Europe and surrounding areas, open to occasional business trips abroad.
