Account Manager -Polymers

A privately owned, leading European polymer distributor and official representative of the world’s leading producers of polymers.

The business distributes in Europe and across North Africa, into a wide range of markets, including Film, Rigid Packaging, Adhesives & Sealants, Agriculture, Automotive, Construction, Compounding, Consumer Products, Healthcare & Medical and General Industrial Applications.

As a Sales Account Manager, you will be managing sales for existing customers and targeting new prospects for the plastics business.

Responsibilities:

• Management of sales (Polyolefin and Styrenic polymers) to existing customers.
• Development of new business within the territory, specifically targeting Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Polypropylene Compounds.
• Independent leadership of projects to introduce new products to aid market development.
• Close cooperation with internal sales, technical support and R&D teams.
• Technical support and advice on material selection, processing parameters. Close liaison with customer design & development teams as appropriate.

Candidate Profile:

• Results driven and entrepreneurial, with a flair for commercial thinking.
• Minimum of 3 experience in Plastics Sales or related industry experience.
• Good technical knowledge of Polyolefin/Styrenic polymers, processes and key market sectors.
• Must be a proactive self-motivator and enthusiastic, with good time management skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills, along with the ability to work independently.
