The Company:

Our client is a leading supplier of products used to clean plastic processing machinery. It effectively removes leftover plastic, colour, and carbon deposits from machines, enables fast color changes and material changes, clean screws, barrels and hot runners without the need for a full strip-down. This saves considerable time and money for customers.
This successful European headquartered business is expanding its operations with a considerable investment in North America. A key part of this growth, involves the hire of four sales specialists who will focus on key regions of the USA, introducing their market leading products to clients across the plastics processing sectors.

The Role:

The Technical Sales Representative will play a critical role in driving US market growth by developing new business opportunities through their existing network in the plastics conversion sector. This position is suited to a commercially driven, technical sales professional who offers experience of plastic processing in particular injection molding, blow molding and extrusion.

Responsibilities:

• Drive sales growth in your designated region
• Achieve sales targets
• Identify new business opportunities utilising your network.
• With the support of the groups management team, develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives
• Manage the full sales lifecycle
• Generate leads and explore sales opportunities.
• Act as the technical expert during customer interactions, including trials and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with key customer contacts to highlight overall manufacturing and financial benefits.
• Lead demonstrations on customers premises.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline tracking and reporting
• Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions and customer visits

The Candidate:

• Have an established network in the plastics industry
• Proven track record of selling into injection moulding, extrusion, or blow moulding markets
• Strong technical understanding of plastics processing
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Highly organised with effective territory and pipeline management skills
• Self-motivated
• Able to travel on a frequent basis
• Must be able to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 55lbs/25KG
• Position involves bending, lifting, and standing
