WD-40 originally contacted Listgrove for support with specific recruitment needs for a Quality Engineer in Europe. Despite advertising via their own channels, they were struggling to find the right candidates. A large number of irrelevant applications and a need for specialist supplier and quality experience meant that the recruitment had become very challenging.
Upon appointment, Listgrove realised that the power of the WD-40 brand would be of great benefit to finding the right person, if we could promote the role broadly enough and with the right level of exposure. Listgrove’s consultants were able to combine selective advertising and targeted headhunting across their international network to explore the right candidate pool.
By establishing the right places to look and promoting the strength of the WD-40 brand, we were able to quickly attract the right candidates and ultimately, make a successful placement.
WD-40 are continuing to expand with the support of Listgrove and have been successful in filling a number of roles with us over the course of the partnership, so far.
Along with their friends at Duct tape, one of WD-40’s mantras is as follows, “All of life's problems can be solved with two things — duct tape and WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, you need duct tape.
